In this article, it’s been attempted to examine the results of building GIS location models in the analysis of border radar stations coverage in the eastern border strip of Iran.
Methodology: Concerning its goal, this research is applied and corning type, it’s a descriptive-analytic one since authors intend to describe the existing conditions and aim to take into consideration the role of building GIS location models in the analysis of border radar stations coverage in the eastern border strip of Iran.
The statistical group of this research includes all officials and experts in the Iranian Border Guard Command. The technology and information deputy of Iran’s Border Guard Command has 120 staff. In order to select a statistical sample size, via the Cochran sample size method, 51 persons have been selected. Considering the different layers of our statistical group and different relations between them, the stratified sampling method has been applied.
Conclusion: All the hypotheses of this research convey that before taking any measures regarding the establishment of radar systems in the eastern strip of the country, the Iranian Police force should use the building GIS location models in the analysis if border radar stations coverage.
