Background and objective: border markets, as one of the important tools in the development of trade relations with neighboring countries in recent years, have had a significant impact on the country’s economic activities. Hence, providing the border and border markets’ security is of great importance in these regions so that it can increase the trade capacity of the region by encouraging the traders to invest more. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the police and security forces in the border areas and promoting investment and employment increase in the Border Areas. In this study, the border market of 78 Rod in South Khorasan Province (Birjand city, Sarbisheh District) has been investigated.
Methodology: this research was conducted through library and field studies and the required data were obtained using a researcher-made questionnaire (Cronbach's alpha coefficient 0.74). The statistical population includes native people working in the market, traders and brokers of border market, and some of the border forces of 78 Rod in South Khorasan Province; of them, 99 participants were selected and questioned. The data analysis of the study was conducted using SPSS software and Pearson correlation test.
The findings and results: the results showed that in the first part the presence of police in the border areas, including border markets has a significant relationship with market trade promotion and the development of trade relations with neighboring countries and it is considered as an important factor in the security of investment in the markets. In the second part, the disciplinary security has a significant and positive relationship with the direct, indirect, and healthy employments; it doesn’t have a significant relationship with unhealthy employment.
